On
November 21, 2003, PRORENA and the Smithsonian Tropical
Research Institute hosted an open, public forum to explore
the challenges and opportunities for financing reforestation
in Latin America at a variety of scales. More than 200 Latin
and North American researchers, forestry professionals,
and members of the business community participated. This
event was made possible through the generous support of
the Peninsula Community Foundation, the Smithsonian Tropical
Research Insitute, and the Yale School of Forestry &
Environmental Studies.
